Sharmin Akter joined as a full-time lecturer of Mathematics in MNS department at BRAC University since January 2015. She has completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mathematics from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka-1342, Bangladesh. Later she did another Master’s in “Mathematics International” specialization with “Industrial Mathematics: PDE” in 2021 from Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany. During her Master’s study she had an opportunity to work as a research assistant from July 2019 to June 2020 in a prestigious research institution named “Fraunhofer-Institution for Techno and Economic Mathematics ITWM, Kaiserslautern, Germany. Her current research focuses on the mathematical modelling of biological system especially disease modelling. She has also research interest in the field of Industrial Mathematics-PDE, Dynamical Systems and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
