Tushar Mitra completed his school and college from Pubali Jute Mills High School and Narsingdi Model College respectively. Then, he finished his BS degree from University of Dhaka in 2018 in Physics. After that, he achieved MS degree (thesis group) from University of Dhaka in the same subject in 2019. His thesis topic was, "A Weighted Planar Stochastic Lattice with Scale-free, Small-world and Multifractal Properties; Emergence of Stochastic Porous Lattice and Dynamic Scaling". Before joining as a lecturer at BRAC University in October 2022, he worked as a Vice Chancellor’s Fellow from 2021-2022 at the same institution.

1. Working as a student advisor for the Physics program. 
2. Recruiting student tutors (STs), creating routine for their consultation and monitoring 
the performance for the student tutors of Physics and Mathematics program. 
3. Working as a member of PSAC committee for Physics program. 
4. Actively contributed to the formulation of the budget of FY 2023-2024 for MNS 
department. 
5. Organized the event "Life celebration of Professor Professor Jamal Nazrul Islam" as 
the organizing secretary, organized by School of Data and Sciences, Brac University. 
6. Working as a member of Sir Fazle Hasan Abed Scholarship committee. 
7. Actively participating in the recruitment of teaching assistants for the physics 
program.

  • Silver medal (team achievement) rank winner in University Physics Competition in 2017 and 2018.
